Resynthesizer, also does so cool tiling and texture mapping but I have not played with that yet.
I found the hacker emblem page at http://www.catb.org/hacker-emblem/ and could not help but knock up this html pure page (no images), of course it does weigh in at 222kb

I found this cool gimp plugin http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/resynthesizer at freshmeat, it does a really amazing job of removing objects from images (see demo)

I got a wicked cool (how often is that phrase necessary ?) watch from http://www.timetechnology.com
Its the blue LED Samui Moon, with four LEDs representing the hours and six LEDs defining the minutes, it took me no time to learn how to read it.
Of course I was familure with binary before but having the MSB (most significant bit) for the minutes valued at 32 means you can very easily tell if it is before or after half past the hour.

Saw Episode III last night, very cool film, one for the fans, so many nods to future events and the evolution of the empire we all know and love ;)

so my review did not go down particularly well due to my(over) use of parenthesis, but I had a hard job to get not only the book reviewed but to include enough information about the LPI organisation and the LPIC Level 1 exam.
In the end I am happy with the final result it has all the information I wanted with out being to long.
I have finished reading the sixth Steven King novel in the "Dark Tower" series "Song of Susannah" and it is a return to form from volumes 2-4 where you are whisked along and have to just enjoy the ride.
I mentioned that the firth book had references to Star Wars and Harry Potter well in this one Mr King himself is portraid as some kind of super being, "wordSlinger" is the word used.
this is very egotistic and a bit over bearing at first but actually sits quite well toward the end.
One point I specifically did not like was the inclusion of the Twin towers and the emphasis on there future destruction, this could have been done in a much 'quieter' manner leaving it up to the reader to make the connection.
I was also worried to find references to just about all Steven Kings of books (I am exaggerating), now I will have to read them too.

my faith in humanity has returned.
My second course of acupuncture was MUCH more painful than the first, do they pick the easy spots for everyones first go to get the to lower their guard ?

I had my first Acupuncture session today, and I was too long for the table and my feet had to sit against the cold wall.
The needle insertion was painless and I was thankful I did not have to undress, only role up my trousers and bare a bit of midriff.
You know that feeling when you touch something sharp, the edge of a stone a pin etc, well that is the only feeling you get.
I had a number of needles in my feet a couple in my lower leg two in my belly one on each hand and arm then two in my forehead and finally one sticking straight out of the top of my head.
I was then left to bake, heat lamp for half an hour followed by some head massage.
The over all feeling at the end is that you have awoken from a deep sleep but it is not unpleasant.
Slashdot book review is STILL pending !

Lots has happened, Bungie reset the slayer levels AGAIN !
I have just submitted my book review to http://slashdot.org
I worried about it being to short before I wrote it, now I worry its to long and I did not include loads of stuff like my background etc.
Also I have been rather ill as well as my machine, the hard disk filled up with an incremental log file I had forgotten about.
I might get round to doing the year review now its six months late !
